Hi, it's lovely to meet you! I'm Sharon, born and raised in Indonesia. Currently, based in London. I've been drawing since I can remember. I graduated from Bandung Institute of Technology in 2022 with a major in visual communication, concentrating on multimedia. Having this background, I love stretching my creativity with many media. I occasionally animate, art direct, and do video editing too! Then, I worked as a full-time graphic designer and illustrator in the Advertising and Marketing industries for two years. As a side job, I was a freelance picture book illustrator for various clients, from the government to self-published authors.

My dream to become a full-time designer and illustrator in the book and publishing world never dies. In 2024, I took a leap of faith and embarked on a new journey to study an MA in Children's Book Illustration at Goldsmiths, University of London, with a fully funded scholarship.

As you can see, I'm mostly inspired by Indonesian culture and folktales, food, my Chinese-Indonesian heritage, and anything imaginative. I create my works digitally and/or traditionally. Being a deeply retrospective person, I also spend so much time contemplating my personal experience and the wisdom I learned. I believe there is so much to discover in the world, I always enjoy going to new places and trying new things. You will find me walking outside in nature, meeting new people, cooking new recipes, or reading books.
